Greet each morning with a hot cup of local coffee fresh from our stocked store. Stroll along our ten-acre lake or bring your pole and catch a mess of fish for supper. No license is required!
Don’t feel like fishing? Relax in the cool shade of our huge oak trees, or cool off in either of our two large pools.
Lafayette KOA campground is the place to stay as a home base to the many attractions located nearby. Our campground is a great jumping off spot to visit places like the Acadian Village, Tabasco Factory, Konriko Rice Mill, and local botanical gardens. 5: Grand Encore RV Park and Campsite Louisiana
Ecore is French for “bluff,” which is what our beautiful location is known for. Near our RV Park is our large, 80-foot high bluff that towers over the Red River.
Our RV Park is located next to the Grand Ecore Recreation Area, which opened in 2004. Since we are located on Bayou Pierre, there is plenty to see from either the shore or on your boat.
We are a pet-friendly facility but do not allow pets inside the buildings. There is no smoking inside the buildings.

Final thoughts
Camping is such an awesome family vacation and the current covid situation makes it even more appealing. If you are a camping newbie and just checking stuff out then we highly recommend you just go for it. Sure it’s not as luxurious as being pampered in some fancy hotel, but it is ten times more fun and the kids will remember their camping trips into adulthood.
Can you say this about a run of the mill beach hotel vacation? Lasting memories are created cooking marshmallows and huddling over the campfire. So get the RV rented or if you are lucky enough to own one get the campsite booked. If you are more a tent camper that’s awesome also as most of the Camping grounds listed here cater for tents also.
